BuySellandTrade.com PRIVACY POLICY

THE NEW REGULATION OF ONLINE BUSINESSES
It is our objective at BuySellandTrade.com to be in FULL compliance with the regulations set forth in the "Children's Online Privacy Protection Act" (COPPA), passed by Congress in 1998. This Act addresses issues regarding the collection, storage and/or availability of personal information of any person under the age of 13, by any online entity. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has assumed the responsibility of monitoring and enforcement of COPPA.
Therefore, BuySellandTrade.com will NOT knowingly accept ad requests from anyone under the age of 18. If you are caught placing an ad and we discover that you are under 18, you will be banned indefinitely. It is YOUR responsibility to comply truthfully to our age question. We will NOT be held responsible if you mis-represent your true age.
Effective July 19, 2001, when a user makes a request to place an ad, it is now mandatory for the user to click "YES" to confirm that they are at least 18 years of age. This confirmation will be documented in our records as proof that we are making a sincere effort to be in FULL compliance with COPPA. As an additional level of security, if the user attempts to ignore answering this question, the Ad Form will reject the Ad Request until the question has been answered. BuySellandTrade.com will NOT be held responsible in the event that a user willingly falsifies their response to this question.
Since it would be virtually impossible to monitor the age(s) of all website visitors, those under the age of 18 are obviously free to "browse" our online ads, however, it is STRONGLY SUGGESTED that you DO NOT MAKE CONTACT via email or phone with anyone without FIRST discussing your intentions with a parent or guardian.
BuySellandTrade.com assumes NO responsibility for any such contact.
COLLECTION OF INFORMATION
ALL visits to our website are logged by IP Address and Time of Visit.
When a customer places an ad with our service, all pertinent submitted information is stored solely for the purpose of conducting business. The ad information is reviewed for content and if suitable, is posted to the website for viewing. For instance, if a customer requests an ad change or deletion, we would then need to reference their specific information file for user verification purposes to help us to conduct business.
PERSONAL INFORMATION PRIVACY
Any personal information that we require for this purpose of conducting business will be held in the strictest confidence. We will NEVER sell your information. We will NEVER divulge ANY of your personal information to ANYONE unless required to do so by law.
OUR USE OF COOKIES
Despite the many rumors that cookies are bad, they can also be beneficial for both parties if used in a responsible manner. For the record, a "cookie", is quite simply a very small data file no greater than 4K (4 kilobytes) in size, which contains some basic information that is stored on the "CUSTOMERS" PC. We DO NOT store, nor do we ask for any highly sensitive personal data, such as, credit card numbers, checking account info, etc. We have NO NEED for information of that type.
If you are just visiting our site, there is no need for a cookie to be set because you haven't disclosed any information to us.

Typically, the data is formatted and stored in what is referred to as "name/value" pairs, such as: firstname="John", lastname="Doe", etc.

When someone places an ad with us for the first time, we "set a cookie" to store their information for future use when the customer returns to place another ad.

When a customer returns to place a SECOND ad, with the use of the customer's cookie file, there is now no need to have to re-enter all of the previously entered information to complete the ad form. The ad form retrieves this information from the cookie file and fills in the REQUIRED info AUTOMATICALLY by using the "Tab" key.
